Congratulations to Associate Professor Timothy Kleinig, Neurologist for his President’s Achievement Award! This award acknowledges exceptional individuals who have made a significant contribution to the Stroke Foundation.

A/Prof Kleinig is the Head of Neurology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and is Clinical Director for Stroke at Country Health SA, and has played an integral role in driving improvements in the quality of stroke care in South Australia, particularly for vulnerable groups in the community. Over the last two years, his leadership has been critical to the implementation of the highly successful South Australian Telestroke Service. Through this service, neurologists at metropolitan stroke units are able to support stroke patients at the state’s 61 country hospitals at any time via phone and videoconference, ensuring all South Australians regardless of where they live, have timely access to quality stroke care. The mlcoa team are thankful for A/Prof Kleinig’s contribution to stroke care.
