That’s a Wrap: Building Resilience in High Performing and Diverse Teams
On Tuesday 9th October 2018, mlcoa WA proudly hosted Matthew Pavlich, former Fremantle Dockers legend, as part of Mental Health Week. He presented a highly engaging presentation discussing his experience in “Building Resilience in High Performing and Diverse Teams”.
Fremantle’s most decorated player in its history, Matthew Pavlich was long admired as one of the AFL’s biggest stars. His combination of size, speed and skill saw him respected as one of the AFL’s best all-round talents of the modern era.
Matthew Pavlich presented to an intimate audience employed within the workers’ compensation, government, rehabilitation, legal and medical arena, over an enjoyable lunch. The event was held at the Parmelia Hilton, Perth.
The event was extremely well received, where Matthew used his vast experience within the AFL industry, tertiary education and his burgeoning business experience. He opened up on his various anecdotes from his 17 years in the game focusing on dealing with failure and adversity, operating a high performance culture, the importance of diversity and inclusion, team dynamics, feedback, values and behaviors and leadership.
A 30-minute question and answer session concluded the session.
